Os operários estavam aplicando uma película para impermeabilização do local. O forte cheiro liberado pela resina do material intoxicou os operários, colocando a vida dos homens em risco.
Um dos operários ficou inconsciente e caiu dentro da cisterna, outro também apresentou tonturas e não conseguiu sair do local. Apenas um dos operários que realizava o serviço teve condições de pedir ajuda. Fonte Bem Paraná

Depois que retiraram a vítima que já estava acordada, só nos restou aplaudir os bombeiros que ao final se abraçaram fortemente com sentimento de dever cumprido”, eu, Franklin de Freitas do Jornal do Estado.
“Foi simplesmente alucinante, senti a adrenalina, a correria, pois foi uma corrida contra o tempo. O cara poderia ter morrido ali, mas o trabalho dos bombeiros foi muito eficiente. O tenente Simão que comandou a operação emocionado elogiou toda a equipe que trabalhou no resgate. Não é todo dia que se vê isso”, João Carlos Frigério do Plantão 190.
Os três operários foram encaminhados ao Hospital Evangélico e não correm risco de morte.
